ഒരു കപ്പ് കോഫി

A Cup of Coffee

പ്രൊഫസർ കാന്റ് മേശപ്പുറത്ത് ഒരു വലിയ ഒഴിഞ്ഞ ഭരണി എടുത്ത് വെച്ചു. മുമ്പിൽ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ ആവേശത്തി ലാണ്. അദ്ദേഹം അതിലേക്ക് ഗോൾഫ് ബോളുകൾ നിറച്ചു തുടങ്ങി. ഭരണി നിറഞ്ഞു കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹം വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളോട് ചോദിച്ചു. "ഇത് നിറഞ്ഞത് നിങ്ങൾ കാണുന്നില്ലേ?" 

"അതെ", അവർ ഒന്നടങ്കം പറഞ്ഞു. 

വീണ്ടും അദ്ദേഹം കരുതി വെച്ചിരുന്ന ചെറിയ കൽകഷണങ്ങൾ അതിലേക്ക് നിറക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി. ഭരണി ഒന്ന് ഇളക്കി കൊടുത്തപ്പോൾ കൽകഷണങ്ങളും അതിൽ നിറഞ്ഞു."ഇപ്പോൾ ഭരണി നിറഞ്ഞത് നിങ്ങൾ കാണുന്നില്ലേ?". വീണ്ടും അവർ പറഞ്ഞു, 

"അതെ ".

അടുത്തതായി അദ്ദേഹം ആ ഭരണി യിലേക്ക് മണൽ നിറക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി. കുറച്ചൊന്നിളക്കിയപ്പോൾ ആ മണലും അതിൽ നിറഞ്ഞു."ഇപ്പോൾ ഭരണി നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നത് നിങ്ങൾ കാണുന്നി ല്ലേ?". അവർ പറഞ്ഞു 

"അതെ"

അടുത്തതായി കരുതി വെച്ചിരുന്ന ഒരു കപ്പ് കോഫി അദ്ദേഹം ഭരണിയിലേക്ക് സാവധാനം ഒഴിച്ചു.അവസാനം അതും ആ ഭരണിയിൽ നിറഞ്ഞു.

എന്നിട്ടദ്ദേഹം വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളോട് പറ ഞ്ഞു. ഈ ഭരണി നിങ്ങളുടെ ജീവിത ത്തിന് സമാനമാണ്. ഈ ഭരണിയിൽ ആദ്യമായി നിറച്ച ഗോൾഫ് ബോളുകൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ ജീവിതത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും പ്രാധാന്യമുള്ള കാര്യങ്ങളാണ്. നിങ്ങ ളുടെ ദൈവം., നിങ്ങളുടെ കുടുംബം, നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കൾ, നിങ്ങളുടെ ആരോ ഗ്യം, നിങ്ങളുടെ സുഹൃത്തുക്കൾ... അതായത്, ഏല്ലാം നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടാലും നിങ്ങളുടെ കൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണ്ടവ.

കൽകഷണങ്ങൾ അതിനു ശേഷമുള്ള കാര്യങ്ങളാണ്. നിങ്ങളുടെ ജോലി, നിങ്ങളുടെ വീട്, നിങ്ങളുടെ വാഹനം.. തുടങ്ങിയവ.

മണൽ, അതിനു ശേഷം നിസ്സാരമായ കാര്യങ്ങളാണ്.

നിങ്ങൾ ഈ ഭരണിയിൽ ആദ്യം തന്നെ മണൽ നിറച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ മറ്റൊന്നും അതിൽ നിറക്കാൻ കഴിയുമായിരുന്നി ല്ല. നിങ്ങളുടെ ജീവിതവും ഇതിന് സമാ നമാണ്. നിസ്സാരമായ കാര്യങ്ങൾക്ക് കൂടുതൽ സമയവും ഊർജവും ചെല വഴിക്കുന്നവർക്ക്, യഥാർത്ഥത്തിൽ പ്രാധാന്യമുള്ളവയെ മാറ്റി നിർത്തേണ്ടി വരും. അതുകൊണ്ട് ജീവിത വ്യവഹാര ങ്ങൾക്ക് മുൻ ഗണനാക്രമങ്ങൾ നിശ്ചയിക്കുക.അതിൽ അവസാനം എത്തുന്നത് വെറും മണൽ മാത്രമാണ്.

ഇത്രയും കേട്ടപ്പോൾ മുമ്പിൽ വിദ്യാർ ത്ഥികളിൽ നിന്നൊരാൾ ചോദ്യത്തിനാ യി കയ്യുയർത്തി. "അപ്പോൾ അവസാ നത്തെ ഒരു കപ്പ് കോഫി ? !!". 

പ്രൊഫസർ കാന്റ് പുഞ്ചിരിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് പറഞ്ഞു.

"നിങ്ങളുടെ ജീവിതം എത്ര നിറഞ്ഞു കവിഞ്ഞാലും സുഹൃത്തുക്കൾക്കൊപ്പം ഒന്നോ രണ്ടോ കോഫിക്ക് കൂടെ അതിൽ സ്ഥാനം അവശേഷിക്കും".
